Our client is a bicycle manufacturer with production facilities in the north of Germany. The company builds well-functioning yet exciting sport bicycles such as racing bicycles, e-bikes and mountain bicycles, which are sold internationally. The company is part of a leading bike family with a portfolio comprising more than 15 premium and iconic bike brands. With locations in Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australia operating globally. In order to fulfill the further growth in France we currently recruiting for our client a

Country Manager France (m/f/d)

As Country Manager for France you will lead, shape, develop and expand our clients brand further in one of its growth markets. With your forward-looking mindset and your enthusiasm for new ways of collaborating, you will lead the team into the next chapter. You will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic partners and to build true, long-lasting relationships with them. You will see and take opportunities and increase the penetration of our client’s brand in the market. 

Traveling to partners and the company’s team in France is key and will be part of the job. Occasional foreign travel will also be required: partner events, company homebase, team development/training.

Your challenge

  • Grow our client’s brand in France 
  • Build a strong network, united around the brand´s riders 
  • Tighten and professionalize the relationships with partners and shape the team to serve the network best
  • Develop click & collect as a channel to online consumers
  • Develop the quality of the brand in the market in close cooperation with the French team and the headquarters in Germany (finance, marketing, inside sales & service)
  • Team up with the other market teams to share and exchange best practices
  • Build a strong local team culture where the company’s values, vision and mission thrive

Your profile

  • Deep knowledge of the local market, network and cycling culture 
  • Excellent skills in strategy execution as well as team leadership, team building and team development
  • Proven experience in successfully leading transformation projects
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with a getting it done mentality
  • Process and improvement oriented while pursuing long term solutions
  • Well-developed negotiation skills and good command of English
  • Passion for cycling
  • Ability to handle assignments autonomously yet willing to ask for help if needed
  • Teamplayer with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to travel
