Our client is a leading German bicycle manufacturer based in northern Germany with almost 1000 employees.

Product Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Do you like to bring your ideas into the design, evaluate different designs and thus actively shape what the world of tomorrow will look like? Do you love cycling? Then this is the right job for you.

As an engineer in the development team, you will independently design components and construct them in compliance with qualitative, technical production and time specifications.  You will build and evaluate prototypes from different perspectives.

You will develop your project from the idea to the start of production at our customer's plant and find solutions for the implementation of customer requirements within the design language. Coordinating your design with the supplier (also in Asia) is also part of the process. It is important to you to achieve the optimum in the realisation of quality requirements. You have a modern test centre at your disposal where you evaluate test results with other quality experts and initiate appropriate measures.

At the end of the day, you will be an important part of creating the best product together with your colleagues. 

Your qualifications

  • You have a high degree of enthusiasm for the bicycle as a product 
  • You have a degree in mechanical engineering or industrial design - alternatively: technician with many years of experience in the bicycle industry
  • You have several years of experience in the design of complex components in 3D (preferably Solid Works)
  • You have in-depth knowledge in the processing of aluminium/welding technology or plastics
  • You have a good command of written and spoken English, German is plus
  • You love to pro-actively share your challenges and ideas. You demand feedback from others and support them in equal measure
  • Customer orientation distinguishes you
  • You like travelling
  • You have very good knowledge of common IT applications
  • You have a high level of motivation, reliability and resilience
